Food Tour

Culinary tours aren’t just about food. You’ll also get to explore temples and palaces, monasteries and markets, and much more, giving you the full-bodied flavour of each destination. Colombo is the commercial capital  and largest city of Sri Lanka by population. Your tour is tailored to showcase different places of Colombo, from traditional to unconventional attractions, and for discovering life lived by everyday Sri Lankans. We can accommodate anyone and everyone on this tour as we have many options (vegetarian and non-spicy included).

 

What we’ll do

Day 01 – Street Food and tuk tuk

The Street Food Safari covers some hotspot in Colombo, as well as number of super-authentic, local proven favourite food stops along the way. We guarantee guests will experience some of the best local cuisine this beautiful city has to offer. This tour is not for the faint-hearted, as guests will be taken to some very local street food destinations.

Day 02 – Home Cook

Starting off with few hours spent with grinding the delicious, often spicy pastes that provide wonderful flavour, chopping local market-fresh meat and vegetables, refining your stir-fry and stewing techniques and learning from amateur home cook, the Sri Lankan way of cooking delicious. Oh! Did we mention local market? Yes in the morning hours you will experience visiting Sri Lankan Local Market to purchase all fresh vegetables and meat of your choice.

Day 03 – Star Experience in Sri Lanka

Surprise after surprise awaits! If you like good food and drink, book in for a cooking class or culinary tour at one of these welcoming star hotels, this is the best opportunity for you. We take you to famous star hotel in Colombo to taste the best of the best and to experience how chefs make wonders in star hotels. You will get to spend a day at the hotel kitchen and dining.

What to bring

Nothing much to bring as all basics are arranged by our team. But do not forget medicine, if you are following any daily medicine after or before meals. And Sun protection, Hats, Cameras on your interest and protection.

What to Wear

The Climate in Sri Lanka is tropical and consists of very distinctive dry and wet seasons. The average temperature of Sri Lanka usually ranges from 28 – 32 degrees Celsius. So that while visiting wetland parks we recommend warm clothes. For women, loose cotton skirts or trousers and tops or a long dress. For men cotton trousers or shorts and a T-shirt.

Especially when you visit religious places consider wearing white or light colour clothes, female avoid short clothes.
